IN THE BUSINESS OF FATHERHOOD
I’m not a business consultant but this a just some of my thoughts, take it or leave it.
If you’re trying to start your business no matter how small that business may be, no matter if that business is in its infant stage; you should be reinvesting at least half of what you make back into your business. I don’t care if you’re making twenty dollars a week $10 a week should go back into your business. If you don’t have any overhead drop it in a bank account and don’t touch it. This way when something comes up, something you may need for only your business you will have some cash flow. Things like business cards, a website, flyers, supplies, etc.
Don’t treat your business like a hobby or if you are doing a chore and your profit becomes the allowance for that chore. If your friends say to you “let's hang out”, and the only money you have is the money your saving for your business…then you ain’t got no money to hang out. So your answer should be “Naaaaaw bro I’m broke”.
If nothing comes up where you have to use that money for your business, then you have no reason to touch it.
Does any of this have anything to do with being a father…YUP!
